And so it Begins...

When you decide to drop everything and follow your heart in the direction that scares you the most, you have made a good decision.
I seem to have a knack for picking up and leaving. Not that I am trying to escape anything but because I am curious about what else there is, what else I could be, and what other challenges i can take on. More than once I picked up, purged my belongings, and with little to nothing in my bank account made a move into the unknown, how invigorating! I would soon find myself with more belongings, and more abundance than ever, How does this happen? My answer to that...You set your intention, set it free, believe, and accept.
In the Winter of 2013 i started my Pilates Teacher Program with the Pilates Center of Boulder, CO and in the Spring of 2014 I graduated. There are three very big tests to pass along with the 18 months of rigorous training in order to say with pride "I am a PILATES Teacher!".
The first of the big 3 is a six hour written exam. It took me all of the six hours but I passed even got an A! The next two are in an order you choose, a practical and performance test. The practical test involves being observed by your amazing teachers while you teach a level 5 body and hold a "theme" to the lesson. Then you have the performance where again your amazing teachers watch you move through the whole level 5 flow on Mat or Reformer.
You can imagine the Joy, relief, happiness, and excitement when they say"YOU PASSED!". It was one of the most joyous days of my life when i passed that last test to become a certified Pilates Teacher, It meant I could finally be a teacher, get paid for what I loved doing and what I was truly meant to do, it also meant I was on my own! It was up to me now to stay educated, find clients, keep practicing, and run my own buisness, I suddenly remember becoming a very determined woman. I had a vision and nothing was going to stand in my way.
I was going to become a world traveling Pilates Teacher! Teaching the method to all the people of the world, bringing my love for this honest way of moving and healing to all walks of life and one day be an international educator in opening classical studios in every part of the globe.
And so it began in San Francisco where i was able to build a strong clientele and reputation for myself that would soon after graduating lead me to the south of france. There in Antibe I started my Pilates prance around the globe.

sidenote: There is a movement on the Reformer that is called running, i have taken this and termed the phrase Prancing Pony, its much more playful... (im sure i heard it from one of my teachers) but also come to find out it is the name of the pub in Lord of the Rings where the hobbits first meet strider aka Aragorn:) So I coined the title Prancing Pony! Enjoy!
